An afternoon cruise down the street to clear your head, all after a long day of meetings and deliverables, can turn into a simple "tap" or "tick" from the engine that causes your mind to wander aimlessly. "Damn, what is it now?" As your mind thinks of all the possibilities on what it could be. "Its a tap so could it be my injector? Rod knock? Bad gasket? Leaky exhaust clamp? Does it need a simple oil change? Is the engine toast?" Your chill, afternoon drive to decompress just turned into your mind racing through potential catastrophic scenarios. If you're anything like me, the anxiety kicks in and lives rent free.
I've been there dozens of times and in those moments, I trust the best in Arizona, Murtha Motorsports. I simply give them a call, connect with Ricky or Sean, and get in as soon as possible.
This has happened way too often when building my cars over the last year I've been living in Arizona. Case and point: Two weeks ago, I was driving our overland Cayenne 958, felt some knocking under my seat, vibrations and overall hiccup in my driving. Murtha Motorsports got me in the next day and started getting to work...and luckily I did!
During the inspection process, the Murtha team found:
1. 2 loose driveshaft bolts that you can turn by hand and were causing vibrations.
2. Front crank seal leak.
3. Needed an alignment badly with the new 991.2 Cayenne steering wheel installed.
4. Multiple exhaust hangers missing or broken that needed new ones welded and the prior owner of the Ceyanne used metal wire to hold of two sections of it
5. An injector that needed to be recoded which was causing a CEL

Can't have enough protection.
New welded exhaust brackets and hangers to stop the rattling and vibrations.
These are the wires that were holding the exhaust up that the prior owner did.
I was able to pick our Cayenne up a few days later. The end result was better then I expected and much more then I initially thought was needed. The vibrations I was feeling under my seat were gone, the hesitation and hiccup in the motor was gone, the vibrations were gone, the exhaust was centered in the driver side cutout and the 958 drove straight. What more could I ask for?!
As we closed out, Ricky and the team went over everything, showed me photos of the before and after, and ensured I understood all that went into the appointment. We cashed out, Ricky used our Dad Driven members only discount for all services, and I walked out.
After a few days of good ol' driving, I ended up selling the 958 for a profit and snagging up a rare, GTS Red Manual 957! And it went right to Murtha Motorsports.
Thank you to Murtha Motorsports and the entire team for always taking care of our family vehicles and being one of Dad Driven's Partner Sponsors.
