9: A Legacy in Motion | Dad Driven Fatherhood & Purpose

Some things follow you for a reason.

For as long as I can remember, the number 9 has been woven into my life, not as a coincidence, but as a quiet reminder of movement, completion, and new beginnings.

I was born on 9/11.
My favorite car has always been a 911 (I owned many but the drive and upkeep were not my favorite).
My first football number was 81 (9x9).
In high school, I wore number 9 for sports.

Over time, it became clear that 9 wasn’t just a number, it was a marker. A signal that what we build, how we show up, and the lessons we pass on matter beyond the moment we’re in.

What 9 Represents

In many traditions, 9 symbolizes completion and transition, the end of one chapter and the start of another. That meaning resonates deeply with fatherhood.

Becoming a dad isn’t about stopping who you are; it’s about carrying it forward with more intention. The things you value: discipline, curiosity, responsibility, resilience, don’t disappear. They evolve. They move.

That’s what Dad Driven is built on.

Why Dad Driven Launched on 9.9

Dad Driven officially launched on 9/9 at 9:00 AM PST as a deliberate nod to that philosophy: honoring the past while stepping forward with purpose. From launch through 9/11 at 11:00 PM PST, we committed to giving back, donating 9% of net proceeds, and 50% of net proceeds from our collaboration t-shirt, to Track Heroes.

Track Heroes is a nonprofit helping Veterans and First Responders heal through the power of racing and neuroscience, using movement, focus, and shared experience to rebuild connection and purpose. Their mission aligns closely with what Dad Driven stands for: growth through action, and healing through presence, and that is why we wanted to partner with them during our launch.

More Than Apparel

Dad Driven isn’t about clothing, it’s about continuity.

It’s about carrying lessons learned outdoors, on the road, and through service into the next generation. About showing our kids that legacy isn’t something you talk about, it’s something you live, every day, through the choices you make and the example you set.

9 is a reminder that legacy is always in motion.
What we do today shapes what comes next.
